Ecologies and the Arts at Durham

Durham University is home to a number of scholars working on ecocriticism and animal studies in relation to various disciplines.

In addition to ‘Beyond Allegory’, Megan Cavell, Sarah Semple, and Andy Wood are organising a linked session entitled ‘Animals and Natural Worlds, c500-1750: Medieval and Early Modern Interdisciplinary Ecologies’, which will take place in July (See home page for the call for papers).

‘Beyond Allegory’ will be hosted by the Ecologies and the Arts Research Group, convened by Kerstin Oloff (MLAC).
